This is what successful therapists have in common

A couple of weeks ago I attended an event for a colleague’s very successful group private practice with 3 locations. We studied our Masters together and stayed in touch supporting each other over the years.

This therapist who had no intention of becoming a businesswoman when I met her. Like me, she worked in the Health Department after graduation and thought it was pretty good (and it was!).

It’s an example of how giving yourself permission to change and taking risks to do things you don’t know how to do can lead to amazing success.

Some of you reading this will think, but I’m not confident enough to do that or whatever your dream is.

And it is hard if you’re doing it alone, but with support and guidance, it’s possible.

This is what successful therapists have in common.

They get support.

They seek guidance.

They persist.

They get more support and guidance.

My friend with the 3-site practice got a lot of business coaching to be confident enough to follow her goals, manage her self-doubt, feel supported enough to make the dream bigger, and fill in her gaps of knowledge.

If you want this kind of success you can’t do it alone.
